By using Can I Loop? ("the Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Questions: support@caniloop.net.
What the Service is
Can I Loop? provides informational analysis of used boats against the Great Loop's requirements — a deterministic check of hard limits (air draft, draft, range) plus model-specific research, with each claim tagged by confidence. It is a research and screening tool. It is not a marine survey, a sea trial, a professional inspection, or a guarantee of a boat's condition, value, or suitability.
No professional advice; get a survey
Nothing on the Service is professional, legal, financial, or surveying advice. Boats are major purchases with real risk. You must obtain your own qualified marine survey and sea trial and make your own decisions before buying. You are solely responsible for your purchase decisions.
Your account and the beta
You need an account to use the tool. Keep your password to yourself and let us know if you think someone else has it. One person per account.
The service is in beta. Being early means you will find rough edges — features may change or disappear, and we may pause or end the beta.
You will never be charged without buying something first. Nothing is billed unless you complete a purchase yourself, and you agree to these terms at the point of sale. If you hold a rate we promised you, that is the rate you pay. Reserving founding access is an expression of interest, not a purchase.
Ending your account
You can stop using the service whenever you like and ask us to close your account — support@caniloop.net. We will delete your personal data, keeping only what we are required to retain. Deleting a boat removes its record and your notes; see the Privacy Policy for what that covers.
Model research you deliberately contributed stays in the shared research, as described under Your contributions below.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to abuse the service or other people.
Your contributions
When you tell us something about a boat model — a correction, a spec, something you learned owning or surveying one — you're giving us permission to include it in the shared model research that all members see, and to keep using it if you later close your account. You keep ownership of what you wrote; you're giving us a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use it for that purpose.
You choose the credit every time you contribute — by your handle, or anonymous. That choice is yours to make per contribution, not once at signup.
Your own boat list, your notes and your annotations are not contributions and are never included. Only what you deliberately submit as a correction or a piece of model knowledge.
Accuracy
We work hard to be accurate and to label how confident we are in each claim, but we do not warrant that any information is complete, current, or error-free. "Verified" facts come from identified sources; you should still confirm anything that matters to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it or from any boat purchase or non-purchase decision. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the Service.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service, scrape it, or use it unlawfully. We may change or discontinue the Service at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above when we do.
