An owner's file for the boat you own
I'm building an owner's file for the boats in our library. It isn't open yet. Here's what it would hold.
- Her model's known trouble spots, as a checklist you work through and check off.
- Checklists written for her systems, the way a squadron writes them for a jet. The morning engine-room check and the lock-through brief come first.
- Her real numbers, measured once, in place of whatever the listing said.
- Word when something new turns up on her model, from an owner or a surveyor.
