What breaks on Loop boats
What owners, surveyors and brokers have published about the 89 boat models in our library, counted, with the question to ask for each.
This counts model pages, not breakdowns. A page flags a problem when someone published it, so a model that's been written about a lot can show more flags than one nobody has written about. Read it as which systems to check first, never as how often a boat fails.
Most often flagged: engine cooling, on 23 of 89 model pages. Next come decks, core and teak on 12 and exhaust and mufflers on 10.

How it was counted
- The boat model pages in our library. The engine-only pages are left out.
- Only claims that link to a published source, plus owners' own reports, which they gave us permission to publish. Anything without a public source is left out, even when it's on a model page, because some of it comes from members-only rooms.
- Each claim was sorted by its heading and read by hand before it was counted.
- One model can be flagged for several systems, so the sections don't add up to the total.
- It's live. When a model page changes, this page changes with it.
What this page is not
It isn't a survey, and it doesn't rank boats. A model that shows up here isn't a bad boat, and one that doesn't isn't a clean one. Every flag is a question for the boat in front of you, and each model's page says how well it's backed and where it came from.
Lists checked by hand October 17, 2026. Think something here is wrong, or know a problem we haven't flagged? Tell us, or tell the next buyer what broke on yours.
